Islamabad twin blasts kill 4 persons ISLAMABAD: Death toll of Islamabad twin blasts at the Islamic University campus has mounted to four, Geo News reported Tuesday.

Two suicide bomb blasts have killed 4 people including 3 students and injured 29 others.

According to eyewitnesses, first explosion was heard at 3:15 pm in university’s A-Block, at entrance door of ladies cafeteria, while second blast occurred at Sharia Block after a while.

Heavy police contingents and rescue teams shortly arrived at the scene of explosions. Police officials said that a suspect has been arrested, loitering around the sight of twin blasts.

Three deceased students include 2 female and a male, where as a staff was killed in the blast.

At least 29 Injured and 4 deceased were shifted to PIMS and other hospitals. Bodies of two suicide bombers have also been shifted to hospital.

Among 29 casualties, 24 are women and 5 are men, out of which 4 are in critical condition.

DIG Islamabad told Geo News that body parts of suicide bombers have been obtained from site of twin blasts.

Chief Commissioner Islamabad Major (Rtrd) Faisal Ahmed Asghar told Geo News on his visit to PIMS hospital, that both were suicide bomb blasts, however, investigations regarding bombers’ entry into Islamic University are in progress. link...
