MQM announces 10 day mourning at Imran’s murder

Updated at: 0316 PST, Friday, September 17, 2010 KARACHI: MQM’s Coordination Committee has announced observation of 10 day mourning in connection with assassination of Dr. Imran Farooq, who was stabbed to death in London late on Thursday night, Geo News reported. According to details, All MQM’s chapters across world have announced suspension of party activities for 10 days in mourning over tragic murder of party’s former convener Dr. Imran Farooq. Addressing a press briefing here at Nine Zero, MQM’s Convener Dr. Farooq Sattar, strongly denouncing the killing slaying of Dr. Imran Farooq, has extended condolences with heirs of deceased soul. He also directed party workers to observe mourning days peacefully. On the occasion, he termed killing of party leader Imran Farooq as ‘irreparable loss’ to party adding that all party workers including Quaid MQM Altaf Hussain are deeply grieved over tragic incident.
