SC should’ve summoned NRO architect also: PM LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said the government would act upon all the verdicts of the Supreme Court (SC), Geo News reported Sunday.

Talking to office-bearers of Lahore Press Club (LPC) at his residence here, the PM said it would have been better if the court had called the founder of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

“I have good relations with the Establishment. Also, the military and the political leadership are in complete agreement and wish for all the institutions to function by restricting themselves in their constitutional ambit,’ he stressed.

The Law Minister will represent the government in the NRO case at the court, the PM Gilani informed.

He said urged Federal Minister Abdul Qayyum Jatoi to review his decision of resignation.

He stressed upon the political leadership to strengthen the democracy so that the door to the dictatorship could be shut forever.

On this occasion, he also assured to implement the recommendations put up by the LPC office-bearers.
